Leemlander and students from Limerick. Dr. Leemlander, professor of biology in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, used the university’s leadership and students to launch “breakthrough innovation” in education and research in the academic sciences, creating innovative scientific discoveries that were further tested and ultimately led to an institution of higher learning (IG) in 2001. “Breakthrough Innovation in Established Organizations”—with Prof. Ann C.
