Ambrose And Bisaro Marianne Anne-Marie Margaret (17 January 1829 – 19 November 1891) was a French physician and epidemiologist who was chair of the British Agricultural Research Department. She was a member of the Académie française and the chair of the French Academy, from 1923 to 1924, and secretary of the Second World War. Her scientific contributions included the preparation of the first case of syphilis in the French population and the discovery of a new strain of a new syphilis organism. She died on 19 November 1891. Biography Mariette Achengocchi, in medical school (1860), studied medicine for 12 years. She married Hugo Génégas Strayb (1748-1826), a horticulturist and writer. Strayb was a fête-welcoming botanist engaged by Jean Paul Gatineau, who, on at least three occasions, made the acquaintance of Lady Jane Eyre. She attended Francis Bacon School for Girls in Paris and received degrees at Geneva Academy and then at Flemish universities. During Strayb’s term, she would become one of the largest and most influential men on the frontiers of French society. After his marriage, her health gradually declined and her work was no longer performed.
