Hockley Valley Brewing Co Inc. was founded in 1947 and started doing brews in 2006. In 2009, the brewery closed for renovation. The company relocated to their own premises in San Diego and moved the top of the cellar to the restaurant. In 2010, the brewery closed again, with the company going under the ownership of its owner, the former Imperial Resports Co. Inc. that was based in Irvine, California. Imperial Resports also closed on February 18, 2011, making it their last license to brew in San Diego. The 2012 release was to be introduced on September 29, 2012, with the use of a new system for controlling beer and spirits (like the Imperial Resports and the restaurant’s VIP program).
