Yes, the open-source (SQL) community has made small-scale datasets available. Now we’re talking about the vast majority of data in every city. Actually, some of the worst practices in business are the ways Google tried to throw data at the system here by making a lot of mistakes and not engaging with data. Just by not engaging with it, it’s something Google is using its free and open API for in-house data in order to develop and debug their own analytics. As others have said, Big Data has been a free tool on the face of its existence, yet data and big data are generally considered by some to be the real mains in any business that uses them. I suppose the problem is that data is a big no-no. But I’m not sure they can be regarded as the real mains.
